Doula Data:

A Data Collection System for Community-Based Doulas

HealthConnect One is pleased to announce Doula Data, an online data collection system for community-based doulas.

Doula Data has been designed and developed in consultation with Harris-Braun Enterprises, LLC. Doula Data expands on our original logic models to include objectives and outcomes based on the experience of our community-based doula replication sites. This new data collection system provides a foundation for demonstrating the impact and assessing the quality of model implementation.

Testing Phase

Doula Data
has been launched with five HC One community partners.  Here is what some of them have to say:

"Definitely recommend it to another employer... You're always there when we need you. I don't think we could be supported more."

~ Doula Supervisor, The Brooklyn Young Mothers' Collective, New York, NY

"I've used other databases for other things that didn't work so well.  But this one works pretty well for what we're doing."

~ Doula, The Brooklyn Young Mothers' Collective, New York, NY

"Doulas carry laptops with air cards and are able to  enter participants' information as the day goes. We haven't tried running a report but plan to do so soon. Overall, HealthConnect One's database  is pretty easy to follow.

~ Doula, Migrant Health Promotion, Weslaco, TX

Although the system is still being tested, our goal is to make this web-based collection and assessment tool available to all of our community partners, and we will continue rolling-out to additional sites throughout the year.
