David Marc Small

David Marc Small is a New Jersey native who has recently returned home to his roots. Despite the physical distance from HealthConnect One, David is excited to serve as a Board Member, helping to make HealthConnect One a national organization.
In his prior role as a policy analyst for the American Medical Association (AMA), David convened and managed work groups of clinical experts and researchers to develop clinical performance measures intended for quality improvement and accountability. He also served as a coordinator for external communication for the Performance Improvement division of the AMA.
David has a masters in clinical psychology from the University of Oregon and a masters of public policy from the Harris School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago. At the Harris School, David was the recipient of the prestigious Harris Fellowship. He was engaged in numerous leadership roles on campus, including acting as student government ombudsman at the Harris School, as well as serving on the Student Health Insurance Review Committee for the University of Chicago.
David’s professional interests include health policy broadly and child and family policy more particularly.
