Gaylean Woods
President, Woods Consulting Services
Gaylean Woods is the founder and president of Woods Consulting. A volunteer with HealthConnect One for almost two decades, she has consistently demonstrated her passion for the health and well being of mothers and babies. Gaylean became a peer counselor seventeen years ago, and returns to HC One each year to motivate, share, inspire and engage new program participants.
She is a strong advocate for raising awareness and supporting training, education and community-based programs to prevent violence against women and children, and has received numerous awards and recognition for her commitment to community service. She is affiliated with the NASW Committee on Community Violence, National Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Chicago Public Allies, Women Interested in Drug Education (WIDE), Sixth District Cook County Advisory Committee on Domestic Violence, and Chicago Health Connection Board of Directors.
Gaylean earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Communications Training and Development from Governors State University.
