Laurie Steadman – Interim Board Vice President and Board Treasurer

Laurie Steadman is an independent financial planner/advisor with World Equity Group, where she has been among the top fifteen planners since joining them in 2001. She offers financial seminars and writes and implements objective plans for a variety of clients. She has delivered seminars for Harper College, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, District 214, Glencoe Public Safety Department, Mount Prospect and Glencoe Libraries on topics such as changing jobs, successful money management for women, and wealth management strategies which include college and estate planning. Her individual clients' objective plans have included investments according to individual risk tolerance, retirement and wealth management strategies, as well as college and estate planning.
As a volunteer, Ms. Steadman has served on the Board of Directors of the Northwestern Suburban Estate Planning Council for four years and is past president of the board. Prior to her work with World Equity Group, Ms. Steadman brokered all aspects of life and disability insurance as a New York Life producer, and advised individuals and groups in small and large businesses as an independent health insurance agent. As a financial planner/advisor with Lincoln Financial Advisors, she also examined client investment, estate, retirement, and business strategies; explained unique financial plans to clients; and recommended and implemented appropriate investment and insurance products. All of Ms. Steadman's work rests on the belief that solid financial planning gives her clients the chance to define personal priorities and long term objectives.
Ms. Steadman holds a Bachelors of Science from Indiana University and a MS from Northeastern Illinois University with a registered investment advisor certification and a series 7 stockbrokers license.
