Mairita Smiltars has been a consultant at McAlpine Consulting for Growth, LLC since January 2007, where she has worked with dozens of clients on a variety of projects as a coordinator, planner, analyst, and problem-solver. Mairita has worked with HealthConnect One for the past five years - first in a consulting role supporting their policy advocacy efforts, then transitioning into conference management, and now as the inaugural chair of the Associate Board.
At McAlpine Consulting for Growth, LLC, Mairita provides firm-wide client services, including organizational development & strategic planning, data analysis and report writing, meeting facilitation, job searches, and general project management. As a skilled and detail-oriented coordinator, she also leads the conference planning department for the firm. Along with her client responsibilities, Mairita oversees and manages many of the firm’s internal and human resource operations.
Prior to her work at McAlpine Consulting, Mairita worked as a program manager both at the non-profit Kidsave, based in Los Angeles, California, and at the New Teacher Center at the University of California- Santa Cruz. Mairita received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and her master’s degree from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (SSA).
