Meredith Lawrence
Development Associate
Umoja Student Development Corporation
Meredith Slater developed her passion for community health and women’s rights as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique. During her service, Meredith explored grassroots campaigns as an effective agent for change, and while there, she started a nonprofit for adolescent girls to help them find their voice in their community.
She relocated to Chicago two years ago with her husband and has continued to devote time to community issues as Development Associate at Umoja Student Development Corporation, a nonprofit committed to helping high school students reach their full potential.
Meredith joined the HealthConnect One Associate Board in the fall of 2011 after volunteering with the organization throughout the year. She is excited to be part of such a dynamic and passionate organization.
