Who is the Network?
The National Community-Based Doula and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Network is composed of maternal and child health stakeholders from across the United States, including:
- Groups who have established or applied to start a community-based doula and/or breastfeeding peer counselor program based on the HealthConnect One model
- Groups who are interested in starting a community-based doula and/or breastfeeding peer counselor program
- Advocates who believe in the power of the community health worker model to support maternal and child health
We encourage community-based doulas, breastfeeding peer counselors, their supervisors, and agency administrators to join the Network, as well as anyone who would like to be engaged in our advocacy work.
