Breastfeeding Program Development
HC One provides training and consultation tailored to meet the needs and time constraints of busy agencies and staff. HC One works with agencies to develop, maintain, improve, and sustain community-based programs, and trains agency staff and individuals to serve as breastfeeding peer counselors. Our support for developing breastfeeding programs helps organizations to increase breastfeeding rates in their communities.Training Agency Staff

Technical Assistance
Based on each program's needs, HC One staff provides technical assistance in any or all of the following ways:
- Provide up-to-date resources
- Provide current "best practices"
- Provide up-to-date breastfeeding research
- Provide continuing education opportunities for Breastfeeding Peer Counselors
- Assist organizations in collecting base-line data and setting program objectives and goals.
- Assist with implementation of program and development of necessary tools.
- Ensure that services provided by Breastfeeding Peer Counselor(s) are meeting the needs of each woman served, as well as the needs of the agency.
- Meet with Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and program staff on a monthly or quarterly basis to ensure program objectives are met.
- Analyze monthly and quarterly data.
- Review individual client sheets in cooperation with Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to ensure program goals are met.
- Be available to program supervisor and peer counselor by phone or e-mail as necessary.
- Assist in developing programs that provide pumps to mothers on Medicaid.
