RoiAnn Phillips
Communications and Program Associate
RoiAnn Phillips came to HC One in 2006 as the Program Assistant after two years as a "stay-at-home" mom, and has since expanded her role to include both communications and program development. She manages HC One's website content, monthly eNewsletter, and program communications, and co-coordinates the national Birth, Breastfeeding and Beyond Conference. She has been providing support and mentorship to the Chicago Community Health Workers Local Network since the spring of 2007, and has just completed her role as Project Coordinator for the citywide Message and Messenger Project, working to increase the donation of umbilical cord blood among low-income minority families.
Also a performance poet, RoiAnn brings to HC One over twenty years of non-profit experience, including work on a broad range of social justice, cross-cultural, and training projects.
