RoiAnn Phillips
Communications Manager
RoiAnn Phillips manages HC One's website, eNews, and social media communications, supports the development of new programs, and provides support and mentorship to the Chicago Community Health Workers Local Network. She has co-coordinated the national Birth, Breastfeeding and Beyond Conference, and worked as Project Coordinator for HC One's Message and Messenger Project to increase the donation of umbilical cord blood among low-income minority families. In 2011, she was instrumental in gaining media attention from WBEZ for the Illinois Breastfeeding Blueprint, and was recognized by the Community Media Workshop for this effort.
RoiAnn brings to HC One over twenty years of non-profit experience, including work on a broad range of social justice, cross-cultural, and training projects. Past roles include Outreach Associate for Lambda Legal, Program Associate for Zonta International, and a brief and delightful stint as a "stay-at-home" mom. RoiAnn is also a performance poet and avid blogger.
