Steven Ballantyne
Associate, Project Realize
Steven Ballantyne is an Associate for Project Realize, founded by Vista Equity to test the hypothesis that successful businesses need access to human capital for continued development and growth.
Prior to joining Project Realize, Mr. Ballantyne worked in business strategy and development at a prominent medical manufacturer and distributor. While there, he helped analyze new markets in the healthcare industry, manage the FDA approval process and design and patent new products. Mr. Ballantyne’s tenure includes various positions in finance and community development including Morgan Stanley and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone. He was integral in providing capital and business acumen to small business in the Upper Manhattan landscape. He was responsible for investment in mixed income communities and investment in the East River Plaza, a major landmark in Manhattan. Mr. Ballantyne was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to Costa Rica in 2004-2005 where he completed research on the Central America Free Trade Agreement and traveled extensively throughout Latin America.
Mr. Ballantyne was awarded his B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Davidson College, his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. While in school, he was a Toigo Scholar and Reynolds Fellow.
