Madeline Vander Sluis is a senior at DePaul University, majoring in health science with a concentration in bioscience, pursuing minors in both psychology and biology. After graduation, she plans to work in the field of maternal and child health. Passionate about caring for the young, Madeline has worked in various daycares, including a daycare in an English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) center – where she learned about the importance of birth equity as well as the systematic injustices that prevent so many mothers and children from receiving the best care possible. The moment she learned about the mission and purpose of Health Connect One, she knew that she wanted to be a part of it. Now a member of the Associate Board, she is excited to contribute to HealthConnect One’s amazing work.
