Dear HealthConnect One Family,
Today, we have some bittersweet news to share. Our Executive Director, Brenda Blasingame, will be departing HealthConnect One on March 18, 2020. She has accepted a new position with the Pritzker Family Foundation as a member of the Pritzker Children’s Initiative team, with work focused on children, families and communities in the prenatal to 3-year period. She will begin her new role in April.
During her tenure, Brenda tirelessly led HealthConnect One in pursuit of equitable, community-based, peer-to-peer support for pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and early parenting to advance maternal and child health. She leaves our organization in a stronger position to continue this work. While we are sad to see Brenda go, we thank her for the excellent leadership and look forward to staying connected as she begins this new endeavor!
We are excited to announce that Community Programs Director, Jeretha McKinley, will serve as Interim Executive Director. Jeretha is a trusted member of the maternal child health field and has been instrumental in the development and growth of HealthConnect One. We look forward to her steady guidance during this transition period. Jeretha will assume the Interim Executive Director role on March 19, 2020 and will be in this role until the next permanent Executive Director is identified.
Details on a national search for our next Executive Director will be forthcoming. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions about this transition.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope that you, your family, friends and colleagues stay safe and well in these unprecedented times.
